Video Game New Releases – Week of 2/14/10

Wednesday, February 17th, 2010

It is a fairly slow week in new video game releases. There are a few average titles that fans of the genres or series may appreciate. Games include Aliens vs. Predator, Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce, and SOCOM for the PSP.

Aliens vs. Predator is probably the most hyped title releasing this week. I do not expect any of these games to be blockbuster titles or to blow away the critics with something extraordinary.

There are a handful of other titles releasing this week that are expansions or sequels to cult titles such as Everquest II and Tropico 3. To round out the week there are a few DS titles and an arcade collection for the Wii.

There are a few highly anticipated games releasing this week including BioShock 2 and Dante’s Inferno.

The highly anticipated sequel to the original BioShock releases today and I know there are many excited gamers out there (including SilentReverie). BioShock was a huge success and the sequel should be a great game as well. Look for TheGameRover’s review of this game soon. This time you get to play as a Big Daddy which should be a fun change.

Dante’s Inferno, a singler player fantasy action game, releases today as well. Dante’s Inferno was developed by and there has been much hype about this game including the expensive advertising spot in the Super Bowl. Let’s hope this game lives up to the hype.
